About the Author
Joyce Moyer Hostetter lives
with her husband near Hickory, NC. Over the the years she has run a
preschool program, taught special education, conducted camp drama
classes, and worked with homeschoolers. Now, when she's not writing,
she's usually making flower gardens or playing with her
grandchildren--and even then she's writing in her head. Her first novel
was Best Friends Forever and more recently
she has written Healing Water: A Hawaiian Story.
Blue has won numerous awards, including the
2008 nominee for NC Children's Book Award.
