EVENT: MAKING MEMORY BOOKS
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12 2:00 PM TO 3:00 PM

Carlene Morton, co-chair for Alamance Reads and also local author and artist, will share with attendees ideas for making Memory Books. Carlne believes that Memory Books are an important venue to share family stories, whether you wish to make a book to honor a loved one or to entertain grandchildren. She will demonstrate various ways to record personal memories for others to enjoy for years to com.

What is a Memory Book? Using all kinds of pictures, objects, anything that has been part of the history of someone, Carlene has made a book honoring that person's life. A lot more complicated than just scrapbooking, these books are more tactile (things to touch) and might even include digital files, music, might be created on a computer ... the ideas are really endless. So, bring your creative side.

This program will be held in conjunction with our Time Slips presentation
(3:00 PM to 5:00 PM) by Lia Miller. You won't want to miss either of these presentations.
